FEATURES
SPOKE
A spoke that balances rigidity, strength, and lightness at a high level. While adapting to modern vehicle brake calipers, it connects the rim and center at the shortest distance, featuring a functional and streamlined cross-section design. Additionally, by optimizing the connection position with the rim based on load inputs from the tire, it enhances the concave feel, while simultaneously achieving a refined visual appeal.
CENTER
The center part ensures rigidity while minimizing thickness for weight reduction. Prioritizing lightweight construction, the center cap is offered as an option. The Type-C FORGED is designed with circuit use in mind. It includes a hub ring with a stainless steel spring that prevents detachment during frequent wheel changes, considering functionality on the track in its design.
FLANGE
Just like the spokes and the center, the flange is designed to be as thin as possible, focusing on weight reduction. The inner rim incorporates all the experience gained from the circuit, designed with high rigidity and consideration for impact resistance from accidents. Additionally, the "SSR" and "FORGED" logos are carved with ultra-precision through machining, becoming an accent that radiates the inherent brilliance of aluminum.
Knurling Finish
In severe motorsports, where hard braking and full throttle are repeated, the adhesion between wheel and tire is crucial to transmit power to the road surface without loss. For this reason, all sizes of Type-C FORGED are knurled to prevent tire misalignment. This maximizes the characteristics of both lightweight wheels and high-grip tires.
Forging Technology
By pressing billets cut to size with a 10,000t ultra-high pressure forging machine, a high-density metal structure is formed. Next, the rim is shaped by applying further pressure through spinning, and based on the completed high-strength, lightweight wheel material, it is machined with high precision, shaping the Type-C design.
